This course has been developed by the Food Standards Agency to provide enforcement officers with information on the principles and practice of traceability and how this relates to their role and responsibilities. Modules should be completed in the order shown.


Traceability is also a constituent part of ISO 22000 standard ( food safety management systems – requirements for an organisation in the food chain). ISO 22000: 2005 specifies requirements for a food safety management system where an organisation in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure food is safe at the time of human.
